Activities at the House of Northern Senses
You can start many enjoyable nature and sports activities directly at the House of Northern Senses. We have equipment for your use for mountain biking, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing. You can also do standup paddleboarding, row boating and fishing at the lake.
Multifunction space at the House of Northern Senses
The multifunction space at the House of Northern Senses can be used in versatile ways for your needs, e.g. for working out, yoga, additional space for meetings and events, karaoke etc.
In the well equipped space you can find for example workout equipment and a big TV. It is suitable for groups of 15-20 people.
Northern Lights
Ruka is a great place to see the northern lights during autumn and winter.
Husky Safaris
Experience an unforgettable husky safaris in the gorgeous Kuusamo winter nature with the eagerly running huskies.
Reindeer Farm Visits
On a reindeer farm, you can take part in tending the reindeer and hear fascinating stories of reindeer husbandry, one of the traditional livelihoods in the north. Reindeer sleigh rides are available in Kuusamo usually from November to April, snow conditions allowing.
